Jennifer Clark Announces Re-Election

Jennifer Clark Announces Re-Election

December 14, 2021 by staff in News

I am excited to announce today that I am running for re-election to the Lake County Board! Throughout the past three years representing District 15 on the Lake County Board, I have been incredibly proud of the thoughtful and responsible work we have done on behalf of our communities. I have been thrilled to call the 15th District home for the past 18 years.

During my time on the Lake County Board, we have held the line on property taxes, made historic investments in our county’s infrastructure, and implemented a robust response, helping our communities remain resilient and safe from the pandemic. As an economist and an educator, I have worked across the aisle to develop fiscally responsible and sustainable solutions for our community. I look forward to continuing this work to benefit my community and those throughout Lake County as the representative from District 15.

Join me today at jenniferforlakecounty.com.

I’m honored to have the trust and support of many elected officials in our community, including:
Congressman Brad Schneider (Illinois 10th Congressional District)
Illinois State Senator Melinda Bush (Illinois 31st State Senate District)
Lake County State’s Attorney Eric Rinehart
Lake County Board Chair Sandy Hart (Lake County Board District 13)
Lake County Forest Preserve President/Lake County Board Member Angelo Kyle (Lake County Board District 14)
Lake County Board Member Gina Roberts (Lake County Board District 4)
Lake County Board Member John Wasik (Lake County Board District 6)
Lake County Board Member Jessica Vealitzek (Lake County Board District 10)
Lake County Board Member Paul Frank (Lake County Board District 11)
Lake County Board Member Paras Parekh (Lake County Board District 12)

Another victory! Vendors must now disclose campaign contributions.

Another victory! Vendors must now disclose campaign contributions.

February 13, 2019 by staff in News

The Lake County Board voted to require vendors applying for County contracts to disclose campaign donations to Board Members of if they are a close family member of a Board member.

“This is one of the reasons that I ran for office, and I am very proud to have worked hard to pass this ordinance that will bring more transparency and better government to Lake County”, Jennifer stated.

Potential vendors for contracts over $30,000 must now disclose campaign contribution made in the last five years to County Board members, county wide elected officials and political action committees.  They must also disclose if they have a family member who are Lake County employees.

“This is a great day for Lake County and another success in our quest to bring greater accountability and transparency to Lake County government”.

I am very proud to announce that AFSCME Illinois Council 31 has voted to endorse my campaign for the Lake County Board!

As a proud union member myself, I know what an important job AFSCME does advocating on behalf of its workers and ensuring that they have access to a living wage and benefits.  I also know that Lake County is rewarded by having trained, dedicated union workers who provide the best service to our citizens.
